Skin And co: Truffle Therapy Line

Image
The people of Skin & Co were nice enough to let me try their new line of anti-aging products before they hit the market. It is known as the New Truffle Therapy Anti-Aging Skin and Body Care line. Skin & Co used luxurious Umbrian truffles for this line. Yes rare Italian Truffles plus hyluronic acid, shea butter, argan Oil and panthenol in these new products. So what does all that do you may ask? I know I did... It neutralizes free radicals, that lead to age damage and wrinkles. Also it repairs past damage and stops future damage to your skin.      The products I received are Truffle therapy face cream and truffle therapy serum for the face. They also make gommage and a cleansing foam as part of the anti-aging skincare line.  For their body care line I was sent Truffle Therapy body gel and body milk.           Truffle Therapy Face Cream ($68.00) is proof that sometimes us divas should splurge on our ...

Skincare Sunday: BlogADay January 5th

Image
Keeping with the theme of my Sexy Saturday blog, Skincare Sunday will help with dry skin. As you know most people suffer with dry skin in the winter. I do for one! A few months ago as a Klout perk I received a sample of Freeman Beauty masks. I loved them all but the one that I just HAD TO HAVE was the  Charcoal & Black Sugar Facial Polishing Mask. I do have to say as soon as I seen the Allure Best of beauty award on the package I was intrigued. A product that retails for about $3.99 getting an award? It made my inner Frugal fashionista dance the salsa.      So how did it work? Amazing! I have to agree with Allure. The grainy scrub made my skin feel Summer soft in the dead of winter. I even used a bit of the scrub with my bodywash to get rid of my dry skin on my legs. If it wasn't Below zero I'd have worn a skirt that's how great my legs felt. I now have a new go to facial scrub. So check out this item from Freeman beauty and all their other gr...

Sexy Saturday Blog a day! January 4th

Image
Winter in Chicago leaves me feeling not too sexy. Dry skin, flyaway hair, and hat hair just to name some problems. Ok so I don't have them all at the same time. But for me the number one way to feel sexy? Soft glowing skin. What do I use? Homemade salt scrub! This is great before a date, before you shave, or just to remove that icky dry skin.      You can come up with your own or find a recipe. Basically you just need salt or sugar and oil. I've even used extra virgin olive oil in a pinch.. I have enclosed one I have tried from Veet.  Another great source for recipes is Pinterest... Enjoy your soft skin😊

Skincare Sunday: Dec 1st

Image
As mentioned in a previous blog I'm going to talk about Skincare every Sunday! I do get a lot of complements on my skin. It's fairly clear. So what do I do to keep it that way? I wish I could say I don't sleep in my makeup but I am guilty at times.  At least after some cocktails and a night out I am;) I just try to clean my skin we'll daily and make up for the days I forget with extra cleaning.      With the holidays coming up we all need a quick and easy way to remove makeup. No one wants to go to bed with a smoky eye and wake up looking like a raccoon. And trust me, I have been there and scared my family in the process. Well the best way to remove eye makeup especially mascara is with a good facial wipe. I've tried most brands and like the Simple Skincare best of all. Their wipes are very wet so you don't need a lot of rubbing to remove mascara. Personally I like their "cleansing" and "radiance" wipes best. Also I also use these wipes ...

Freeman beauty: Klout perk #MyMultiMask

Image
As a member of Klout I received a Klout perk from Freeman beauty, it was three packages of their facials. Cucumber facial peel off mask, Avocado & Oatmeal facial clay mask, and Charcoal and black sugar facial polishing mask were the three varieties. The idea of the #MymultiMask was to try different masks on different parts of your face. For example use one for oily skin on your Tzone and a renewal one on the rest of your face.       I seen so many good things about the Charcoal and black sugar facial polishing mask that I tried that on it's own. It won an award thru Allure magazine even. So I wanted to see how good it is... I have to say my face felt amazing after it! My skin was softer then it felt in a long time and even my dry areas felt great. I will be picking up a large size bottle soon. Yes it's that good.      I did avocado and oatmeal mask with the cucumber mask. I used the avocado mask on my Tzone and the cucumber mask...

Simple Skincare: My experiences with the line

Image
It seems I keep blogging about health and beauty lines. Honestly, that wasn't my intention to talk only about those products but it happened. Hey I'm a girly girl who loves makeup 💅💆💄💎      So what am I talking about now?Simple Skincare, which I won gift bags of from a Twitter party.Simple Skincare is a fairly new line. I did own two of their packs of facial wipes before winning a gift bags. So I now own three different types of the Simple Skincare wipes, exfoliating, cleansing, and radiance. The Exfoliating wipes were my least favorite of the three. They are a little too rough for my eye area. I did like using them on my forehead that seems to get dry especially in the fall winter. But even on my cheeks they seemed a little too rough after I applied pressure. The cleansing and radiance wipes are similar in texture, however different in formula. The cleaning ones are for exactly that, cleaning your face. They are great for makeup removal EVEN masca...

Puffs fresh faces: Product review

Image
I recently received a box of products from Puffs. This was their new line called Fresh Faces. They are face wipes made with natural saline. They are made of a strong tissue. I mean i was able to rub off a smokey eye and tons of mascara without ripping. These arent your average Puffs.      My kit contained a full size box, 45ct of the lavender scented wipes. A 15ct travel pack of the original saline ones.  Two individual packs that are scented with Vicks. Also in the pack were two Boogie wipes which are for kids. So I wake up with dry eyes every morning that are painful.I usually need eye drops. Problems of an insomniacs.  Well I tried wiping my eyes in the morning with the Fresh Faces wipes. It helped a lot! I didnt even need eye drops after. I was able to wipe away the dryness and any little eye gunk I had. I loved the lavender scent ones at night to wipe my eyes before bed. Its very relaxing. The original worked well in the morni...
